The customary “About Us” is one thing that has constantly boggled us here at Dr.N.M.B.Baruah Nursing Home ever since we have consciously tried to obtain an answer to it. This is interesting, because prima faice, it reflects lack of clarity about who we are. Yet, the answer is never as straightforward, primarily because, healthcare has never been static enough, to allow us develop a definite identity for ourselves. In the last one decade, we have seen almost a revolution in nursing care, both in terms of challenges as well as the solutions.

Otosclerosis is a disorder that causes hearing loss due to the ear’s inability to amplify sound. Stapedectomy is a surgical procedure of the middle ear performed in order to improve hearing.
Mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty are surgical procedures of the middle ear performed in order to close a hole in the ear drum, remove the infection in the middle ear and mastoid bone and to improve hearing. Procedures at our hospital also have a very small convalescing time allowing the patient to return home quickly after a successful operation
Functional endoscopic sinus surgery is a minimally invasive technique used to restore sinus ventilation and normal function. Laryngology is a subspecialty that deals with the vocal apparatus of the human body or the larynx as it is commonly referred to. Typically the conditions that this branch of medicine deals with are HOARSENESS OF VOICE, FOREIGN BODIES IN THE UPPER AIRWAY, TUMOURS and CANCERS affecting the larynx, esophageal reflux and ASPIRATION problems.
Tonsils and adenoids can cause health problems when they become infected or obstruct normal breathing or nasal/sinus drainage. At our Hospital, we excel in the treatment of this condition by offering coblation tonsillectomy.
